Sangita - Yeah, I've heard of "Mindless Eating", seems like now I'll really have to check it out. And yeah, I 100% agree with you that if you relax about weight loss and savor your food more it's much more likely you won't eat as much. Great point!

Fat Runner - Awesome to hear it's been working for you. I'm sure all your friends want to know what your secret is.

Great post!

I've been trying to do this for the last three weeks and it has made a real change!

I'm convinced that I used to eat out because that was my daily routine rather than because I really needed food.

I used to get to noon and feel ravenous - now I realise that was just my body getting ready for what it was expecting, rather than what it needed. I now just go and get a cup of green tea and get back to work.

Overall results - a lot of weight loss, more time to do stuff, and (just as importantly) no post-lunch slowdown...

Hi Rafi! Great post since losing weight, maintaining weight or good health all depend on eating. I read this amazing book "Mindless Eating" by Brian Wansink. You should check it out - its really enjoyeable! In it he gives an example of 3 year olds and 5 year olds. It seems they found 3 year olds just stopped eating when they were full regardless of the fact that there was still food left) whereas 5 years olds stopped only when the food was over. Is'nt that amazing?!
Also I think relaxing a little about your weight loss, not worrying too much about it can make you lose. Also if you enjoy the food that you eat, I mean really taste it and enjoy it you will not eat so much.
